An office renovation for a creative company in a tiny space that seeks to maximize the functionality, opportunities and usable space

This renovation of an empty office space was undertaken in a 3 week period from first visit to move in. The design attempts to capture all of the key functionality of a significantly larger space including new flooring; desk space; storage; white boards and pin boards; copy area; updated cabling, and data and HVAC strategies.

Following a very brief design development phase we worked with a local contractor to source the most readily available and cost effective materials (plywood with an exposed edge and white laminate work surface) so that construction could commence immediately. During construction it was agreed that an existing filled-in window would benefit from a light box so that light illuminated both sides of the office.

The resulting construction is a cost-effective prototype for the kind of space that every start-up needs.
