A renovation of a large apartment in Manhattan developed through a detailed masterplan

The apartment has fantastic potential, but a number of weird features and poorly functioning components left over from previous owners, which currently reduce the quality of life within the apartment. Our approach develops a masterplan and priority list for updating the apartment incrementally, so that work can take place around the lives of the apartment’s inhabitants and at a schedule that is appropriate for them.

The masterplan establishes an aesthetic framework for each piece whilst also allowing a cost plan and schedule to be developed so that items can be budgeted for over a number of years.

The masterplan coordinates the work of a number of designers, consultants and contractors to realize the design seamlessly; without disrupting the clients’ lives. This organizing of dissonant components into a single masterplan provides a greater clarity in the execution of these tasks.
