A competition for a digital agency to build new office space that would help them impress clients and retain staff

We were invited by a digital agency to submit a proposal and ideas for their new office space located on the south side of Bryant Park. They sought a space that would enable them to impress clients (including blue chip media companies) and which could also assist with the retention of staff alongside containing the functional requirements identified in their program.

The project consisted of approximately 6,000 gross square feet of space with windows on two of the facades.  The main feature of the office was its premier location adjacent to Bryant Park, offering excellent views. To capitalize on this, we proposed gathering the conference, room, a series of informal meeting spaces, and the kitchen alongside the park windows and theming them with a ‘green’ natural feel.

As part of our proposal we prepared three layout options showing different combinations of desk, office and support space within the confines of the existing structure. Transparency and natural materials enhanced the connection to the park outside.
